John 18 Intimacy Series

(1:28:20) Steve has so .. powerfully … eloquently … released the power of God into us … through this message .. that Jesus knew .. why He had to come to this earth … and Jesus ... and Steve mentioned that Jesus took the place of Barabbas and Barabbas was the first to be forgiven. And God came down to forgive us … (1:29:00) of a debt … that we could not .. do ourselves … My blood .. is not the right blood to remove sin but His is … He had to come down .. and die … (1:29:22) And yesterday .. our nation … went to the Capitol … and we humbled ourselves … and hopefully each one of us did that yesterday .. for repentance .. of things that we have done and what our Nation has done… against the Father (1:29:47) and against of what He has established here. … But in me … the second most important truth of Christianity … (1:30:03) is that God forgave us … and He says I require you to forgive your fellow man. .. In the “Our Father” it says .. about forgiveness, forgive us as we have forgiven those who have trespassed against us. And the only dialog that Jesus gave was about that forgiveness, (1:30:30) if you do not forgive your brothers sin. The Father cannot forgive you. And if you want the power of God in your life, we have an obligation .. it is not just … something we can do. It is an obligation, Because God has forgiven us a debt that we cannot be released from. He said if you want to be my child , you must forgive your brothers. (1:30:59) If you want your nation free you must forgive your brothers. It does not matter how great or how small. Today it is a decision for us as a body of Christ here in Atlantic County. Release your brothers so that they, that I, your father, can come in and release the power of God in their lives. Because whoever sins you bind on earth I bind in heaven. And whosoever sins you loose on earth, I loose in heaven. I do understand it but God has said it. (1:31:35) We in our lives, we have the power to release God’s work in them. Let us start with ourselves. Forgive our brothers. Because it is a requirement .. it is not just … something that we have a choice. As Christians, we do not have a choice. (1:31:59) … Father I thank you, … I thank you for the word, I thank you for the power of your gospel, I thank you for the power of your blood, I thank you for the power of the name of Jesus. And You came to set us free; that we could be free. But yet, we have the power to release our brothers and sisters. And Father we come before you today .. and we release them .. of the small.. and of the great. (ends 1:32:40)
