Entwined in Christ by Matthew Famiano

In the Song of Solomon, Solomon and the Shulamite were courting one another and chasing after one another.  Song of Solomon one verse two says “Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth for your love is better than wine”.

See the Shulamite and Solomon were so in love.  Then in Song of Solomon two verse five the Shulamite said she was love sick.  Jesus is calling us His bride.  He wants us to become lovesick brides for Him.   Matthew 25: 1 through 13 Jesus is calling us to seek after Him with that whole heart.

In Matthew 6:33 it says “But seek first the kingdom of God his righteousness and all these things shall be added to you”.  In Matthew 9:18-22 and says “While He spoke these things to them behold, a ruler came and worshiped Him, saying, ‘My daughter has just died, but come and lay Your hand on her and she will live.’ So Jesus arose and followed him, and so did His disciples.  And suddenly, a woman who had a flow of blood for 12 years came from behind and touched the hem of His garment.  For she said to herself, ‘If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well.’  But Jesus turned around and when He saw her He said, ‘Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well.’ And the woman was made well from that hour.”

In Song of Solomon 2 verses 10 to 13 “My beloved spoke and said to me: ‘Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.  For lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone.  The flowers appear on the earth; the time of singing has come, and the voice of the turtle dove is heard in our land.  The fig tree puts forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grapes give a good smell.  Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away!”

Isaiah 55:6  “Seek the Lord while he may be found, call upon Him while he is near.”

Song of Solomon 3:1-4 “By night on my bed I sought the one I love; I saw him, but I did not find him.  ‘I will rise now’, I said, ‘And go about the city; in the streets and in the squares I will seek the one I love.’  I saw him, but I did not find him.  The watchmen who go about the city found me; I said, ‘Have you seen the one I love?’  Scarcely had I passed by them, when I found the one I love.  I held him it would not let him go, until I had brought him to the house of my mother, and into the chamber of her who conceived me.”

Song of Solomon 5:2 “I sleep, but my heart is awake; it is the voice of my beloved!  He knocks, saying, ‘Open for me, my sister, my love, my dove, my perfect one, for my head is covered with dew, my locks with the drops of the night.’”

In Song of Solomon 5 verses six to nine, “I opened for my beloved, but my beloved had turned away and was gone.  My heart leaped up when he spoke. I sought him, but I could not find him; I called him, but he gave me no answer.  The watchman who went about the city found me.  They struck me, they wounded me; the keepers of the walls took my veil away from me.  I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, if you find my beloved, that you tell him I am lovesick!  What is your beloved more than another beloved, O fairest among women?  What is your beloved more than another beloved, that you so charge us?”

In Revelation 3:20 “Behold, I stand at the door and knock.  If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come into him and dine with him and he with Me.”  That is how Jesus wants our hearts with Him.  He wants our hearts to be so entwined with Him.  He wants our hearts to be the ones that we seek after Him only.

Enjoy and be blessed
