MISSION STATEMENT: Praise Team Puppet Ministry was started for the sole purpose of Ministry Outreach! Who we are – Anyone 12 or older may join this puppet team! * Step out in faith and trust the Lord that you can make a difference in an unsaved person’s life, bring a smile to a sick or dying child, lift the spirit of an older person who has given up the will to go on, or share a different view some people have of the Lord ! Skill and ability are not required to join this group, only that you have a heart after God, a desire to give of your time, and a belief that through silliness; you can share the love of Jesus in a powerful way! * Anyone interested in getting involved with this ministry needs to realize there is much more to Puppetry Outreach than just putting a puppet on your hand! This ministry is in need of a few good strong guys to set up and take down staging and backdrops, we need someone to run the sound equipment, someone to print up flyers and mail letters out, store and pack puppets away properly after practices and ministry events. Someone to keep up on minor repairs to puppet hair or dirt smudges on puppets; I need someone to work with lighting, the fog machine, the bubble machine etc. * We could really use someone to sew costumes for the different size puppets for both ministry teams! * The list is a long one! Through pre-recorded skits, written scripts, songs & Bible stories, we use the puppets to minister to others in many different venues! Meet a few character puppets such as: “Chef Soufflé ,” – he has his own TV show and whips up a few spiritual truths whenever he is in the kitchen! He is a reoccurring favorite! “Millie & Tillie” – Twin sister barnyard sheep who are such busy bodies; they love looking into other people’s sins, but they fail to see their own sin! “Mickey” – a loud mouth parrot, he likes to repeat everything he hears! Mickey soon learns it is not enough just to quote scripture but to understand it as well! Good Job Mickey! “The Righteous Rappers” – They give God all the glory and the praise through their style of music! “Cowboy Bob”, “Manuel & Maria”, – A brother and sister Spanish singing duo, and let’s not forget “J.J!” He is Ann Mascelli’s sign language puppet! Praise Team puppets meet every Sunday evening between 6:30-8:00 . * I am always open to other time periods to meet with anyone who wants to learn and grow, as well as offer only what you yourself can bring to this ministry! Different areas of puppet ministry include but are not limited to: - Props and Scenery - Sewing Costumes - Sound Equipment - Caring and Tending to Puppets - Scheduling/Planning Ministry Events - Creating Puppet “Characters” - Writing Scripts & Songs
Through word of mouth advertisement, we go wherever God shows us to go! We are ministers, not performers! We go and do everything absolutely free, knowing and trusting that God will continue to provide and pave the way! Scripture Verse – And he said, “Go into the world.
