Dear Praise Family,
In 2 Kings 2:9, as the time was approaching for the prophet Elijah to depart in a fiery chariot, we read this: When they had crossed over, Elijah said to Elisha, “Ask what I shall do for you before I am taken from you.” And Elisha said, “Please, let a double portion of your spirit be upon me.” I want you to know that we have been given a double portion this week! That's right. The Governor has increased the number of people who can attend our indoor services from 50 to 100! We are so grateful for all of you who have come out to join our 50 person services, and especially those of you who have had to patiently bear with our "overflow" waiting areas. But now, we should be able to accommodate everyone who wants to attend either service, while still maintaining our terrific live-streaming services for folks who are more comfortable at this time participating from home. Let's be encouraged by our "doubled" attendance limits with these words from Isaiah 61:7 "Instead of your shame you will have a double portion, And instead of humiliation, they will shout for joy over their portion. Therefore they will possess a double portion in their land, Everlasting joy will be theirs." May our physical attendance "double portion" be matched by a spiritual "double portion" of God's presence in our midst! God has good things in store for us all!
Dear Praise Family,
I hope that one of the things that you've been doing during this "stay at home" time is keeping up with your daily Bible reading from our 2020 Bible in a year plan. If so, you would have come across this verse from 2nd Samuel 12:25 "and because the Lord loved him, he sent word through Nathan the prophet to name him Jedidiah." This verse is referring to Solomon, who had just been born to David and Bathsheba. They gave him the name Solomon, which means "peaceful", but God told Nathan the prophet that His name for the baby was Jedidiah, which means "beloved of the Lord", or "loved by God".
In essence, this is the same way that the Father refers to His Son Jesus in Matthew 3:17, at the time of Jesus' baptism, when it says “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased.” Do you realize that in some way, we are all Jedidiahs? It's true because we are all loved by God. You might not feel like a Jedidiah sometimes, particularly when circumstances are coming against you, but never doubt the sure and certain, never-ending love of God, who proclaimed over us in Jeremiah 31:3 “I have loved you with an everlasting love."
Be blessed in that assurance.
Happy Mother's Day to all of you who are mothers. This Sunday we have a special message for everyone especially, mothers. One of our spiritual moms, Rev. Linda Ryan will be speaking a message of healing called "Love Letter to Mom's." Here is an insert of the message a portion of the opening and the closing words just to prepare your heart for the complete message.
I speak to those mothers who had beautiful hopes and dreams for their children, child, and one day all those dreams, visions were shattered. To those mothers who's children have not honored you as the Bible says. Maybe they don't talk to you. maybe you don't see them anymore; maybe they are on drugs, alcohol, in gender confusion, or depressed. Maybe your child is suicidal. Our hearts are broken, crushed in pain, questioning the Lord what could I have done differently so my child would have turned out like those good children? I was one of those mothers.
What did I learn during this journey? God is love and the key is ...His love will never fail us. He loved me before the foundation of the earth. Then He chose me and He has an everlasting love for me. I am His beloved. I place my hope in the love of God, rather than hinging my happiness on the well-meaning but broken affections of people. I trust a love that existed before the earth was formed, a love that made the ultimate sacrifice for my renewal. A love that gave up Glory and experienced our lack in order to be near. A love that is motivated by love for the other person. Compassionate, eternal, and unconditional not based on performance. This kind of love that will Never Fail you or me because love holds the final victory in Jesus Christ. HIS LOVE NEVER FAILS.
Rev. Linda Ryan
Letter From Lynette Wolfe,
Director of Intercession
I praise God, as a child of God, that I am able to go into the heavenly throne room at any time and in any state of mind, to be in His presence and bring my praise and petitions. Hebrews 4:16 states "Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need." Having needs drive us to prayer. This coronavirus situation is causing people to look beyond their own ability to control life and meet needs and go to prayer more for answers to their own fragile state. There are many needs large and small. There is a need for protection against the virus, need for peace of mind, need for finances, need for healing, need for wisdom for the healthcare and essential workers, wisdom for our government leaders to just name a few of the needs. Thank you to all that are praying. "The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much."James 5:16
God is aware of our personal needs and those around us. Choose today to come before Him. God loves to hear from you and to have you spend time with Him. His grace is sufficient for you. As a testimony, several of us have been prayer walking in Egg Harbor City, praying for salvation, families, schools, businesses, and local leaders. We sense God's love for the people and that strongholds are being broken. We have had the opportunity to pray for individuals.

May God fill you with His passion and zeal, to rise above the distractions and fears, and lead you in Spirit-led times of refreshing and petitions.
With a thankful heart,
Praise Director of Intercession
Most of us are familiar with the opening words of Ecclesiastes chapter 3 "There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under the heavens." Many people believe that this book was written by King Solomon, a man known for his God-given wisdom, and few would disagree with that opening line because we've all generally experienced this central truth - no matter what we're going through in life - "This too shall pass"! Possibly one of the most difficult realities that we are currently facing is found in verse 5, which reminds us that there is: "a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing". It saddens me that we are being deprived of a season of such a basic human need; the warmth of physical touch. Last Sunday afternoon I got a text from a wonderful young lady, asking me if I was still at the church because she wanted to drop off a gift that she had made for me. I waited by the side doors of the church while she came to the edge of the parking lot to place on the ground a bag containing an absolutely beautiful painting that she had made just for me. There was also a wonderfully comforting scripture written on the back of the canvas. From a distance of maybe 25 feet, we exchanged smiles, greetings, and "air hugs". There was much to be blessed by in those moments, but I know for certain that I owe her a "real" hug when this season of isolation has passed. For now, make sure to hug those within your own household tightly, and may you all know that you are being embraced daily in our hearts and prayers and that we are greatly desiring to see you all and hug you all again in the days ahead!
In Christ's love,
Pastor Steve and I miss being physically present with you and we long for the first time we can all assemble together.
We hope despite the limitations that you enjoyed your Easter celebration with those in your household. If you missed our online service it is available on both the home and media page of our website. Pastor Steve and his puppet Clarence shared a message for the children but we adults were just as blessed. You can find it on our Praise Facebook page as well as on our website under the tab Children's Ministry. It has been about a month that we have been on lockdown the question that came forth in the message Sunday, was "What Is Your Response?" Are you allowing the Lord to take you to a deeper place spiritually? Are you allowing the Lord to use you to bring reconciliation in your family? Are you repenting of allowing idols to be in your life, things that have taken up too much of your time and affection above Him?
Pastor Steve and I are believing that when we all come back together we will not look the same, we will be more mature in Christ, stronger in the spirit, and ready to be released into greater works for the furtherance of His Kingdom.
We are doing everything we can to feed you spiritually online but most importantly make sure you are spending time daily alone with Abba, Father.
Keep those throughout the world in your prayersThe enemy is stealing, killing, and destroying, let us use our authority in Christ Jesus to crush this Coronavirus which means a crown, and see many lives healed, saved, and delivered, that what the enemy meant for evil God turned around for good. There are more people coming into the Kingdom of God than Satan is taking out of this world. This is an unseen enemy but we serve an unseen God who has conquered Satan through the resurrection of His Son. Our job is to hear from heaven and decree His will on earth, which will silence the work of the enemy.
Join us daily at 4:30 pm on Facebook Live for Devotions by Pastor Steve "To Take Us Through," join me for weekly devotions on Joshua Kennedy's Devotional page on Facebook. If you don't have a Facebook account. You can still catch these videos on our website under Media. This Sunday we will be live at both 9 am & 10:30 am with Pastor Jonathan as he shares on Walking In God's Promises. Barbara Mooney will be leading worship. Pastor Steve and Clarence will be ministering between the two services a message for the kids.

Wednesday April 8th is the first day of Passover. The blood of the Passover lamb was what saved the people of Israel from the final plague and the blood of Jesus is what saves us from the penalty of our sins. We now have a unique opportunity to donate blood to the Red Cross next Wednesday from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm in the Family Life Center. Your donation could help to save a life. Go to redcrossblood.org to signup.
Thanks so much!
Love to you all,
I trust each of you are seizing the moment, drawing closer to God, and sharing memorable times with your family. Now for those who are essential workers such as those in the health industry, police force, fire department, grocery clerk’s etc., our hearts and prayers are with you, we thank you for the risk you are taking every day and pray that God will cover you from all sickness and disease. Some of you may have been laid off or have businesses that are at a standstill, we are praying for God’s divine provision in your life. If you are struggling with anxiety, fear, loneliness, please reach out to Pastor Steve or me so we can pray and encourage you. We have provided our elder's lists of members so they can pray over and reach out to you.
Questions may come regarding why God is allowing this? The earth is in a fallen state, history is full of war and disease and great loss. It is not God judging the Earth but rather the earth responding to the world’s corruption. We are called to be God’s agents for restoration, let's seek God on how He would use us to turn what was meant for evil around into something good.
