TIME
TO WAR
2Ti 2:3-4 Therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No one who wars tangles with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who chose him to be a soldier.
When one is in war they cannot take a timeout, they cannot take a moment break, they cannot be entangled in the affairs of everyday life, war becomes life. God is looking for those who will commit themselves to nothing but His affairs. Those who present themselves daily as a living sacrifice, it is them that God will anoint and set apart for great works. We must reprioritize our schedules to be centered around Jesus Christ. For many God is just a crutch, He is there to lean on only when needed. Church attendance is mere weekly tradition, not a way of life. The bible says that Christ is our shepherd, meaning our guide, the one who keeps us on the right path. As sheep we will be devoured without the shepherd’s guidance.
1Pe 2:25 You were lost sheep with no idea who you were or where you were going. Now you're named and kept for good by the Shepherd of your souls.
If our lives lack direction and purpose it is because Christ is not the Shepherd of our souls, we do not follow Him, we just use Him for our own personal gain. The bible says we can do nothing apart from Him (Jn. 15:5), and it says to lean not on our own understanding but to acknowledge Him in all that we do and then He will direct our paths (Pr. 3:3). A child’s behavior is by most part a product of the parenting or lack of it received. I have seen the teens that are growing since I have been here are those with parents who prioritize the things of God above all else. As long as I have something going on they make the sacrifice to make sure their teens are here. While other parents are too busy, and therefore likewise their kids are too busy. My question is busy doing what?, yes there are good reasons, but are they God reasons. Children will usually only put God first if there parents do, so I am very limited what I can do here at Praise to the degree of support and sacrifice I receive from the parents. Joh 12:26 "If any of you wants to serve me, then follow me. Then you'll be where I The bible says we did not choose Him, but He chose us, and anointed us to bear fruit. Therefore we are no longer our own, we are enlisted, we signed the dotted line, there is no turning back, we cannot go AWOL and still receive the prize. We are sent ones, just as Christ chose His twelve disciples and sent them out to carry out His work, so He sends us. This can seem intimidating for who are we to carry out His work. But we have His anointing which is the yoke destroying, burden breaking power of God. He has given us everything we need, for we are not alone, His Spirit is upon us, we have everything we need to carry out His work. It is time to live for what we were saved for, to war. During World War II, the whole nation got behind the war, everyone got involved, life for most centered around the war. Women and children now worked, times became very different, than times before. If we don’t respond to this call we will be responsible for the many that perish in the generations to come. There are presently in America 4% believers of those born after 1983. It is time to get violent and use our God given authority to destroy the works of the enemy. Mat 11:12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. 1Jo 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. The church has been in a season of renewal, a time of intimacy, the focus being on receiving personal healing and deliverance, restoration. But, I believe a shift is taking place, the Lion of Tribe is roaring, He is calling His soldiers, anointing them, and sending them out to WAR. We must now go beyond thinking of ourselves as mere children, to sons and daughters coming alongside our heavenly Father to carry out His work. Ecc 3:1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: Ecc 3:8 A time of war, and a time of peace. NOW IS THE TIME TO WAR?
